Day 1 & 2 from Angie Stelly

This is the Start, right out of the Parce Ferme

and Kevin giving his 3/4 pose.

Time Check 3 at the fishing village of Guanaqueros. The pits
were right before the check, along a street that was right on the wharf.
The town is on the side of a hill, as you can see in the photo. The dust
cloud at the top left corner of the photo is from the riders tearing down
the street after climbing up from the bottom. After coming out of the
check, they had to make a sweeping left turn, then climb the hill and turn
left again to go down the street, and then out of town and on to the next TC
4 at Tongoy.

Kevin coming in to TC 3 in above picture. Check out the
fishing boats in the background.

This was such a cool spectator point. It was a huge hilly, sandy track that
they had ribbonned off. I don't think the riders have seen anything but
sand, rocks and talcum powder-like dust. Oh, they have had some close
encounters with cactus!

The photo's were of taken from top of an impressive hill-climb. Bikes # 301
and 306 are from Chile - just a couple of better shots that I managed to
get.

Kevin's big interview - everyone was fascinated with the big green machine!

Pits at TC # 3 at Marquesa - check out the 'We're Open!' sign on
the USA tent.

Pit Row at TC # 3 in Marquesa.

TC # 4 in Vicuna. This was in the center of town on one side of the town
square. Really cool place with narrow streets and old buildings similar to
the French Quarter in N.O.

Pete on a dummy horse that was in front of a shop in Vicuna

Below are pics from Bryan after Day 3. Thanks Bryan!

Kirk Caselli working on the Factory KTM, I think he was changing pipe. I believe he is still in overall....he is ruling in the sand!!!!!

MacGyver repair is on Wes McKnight's KTM 250F XCW, rocks may break cases and covers but not a problem when Kevin H. and myself are there with duct tape and Mousse liquid steel! Unfortunately John Yates, one of the USA Club riders blew up his KTM 250F today so that makes 3 USA riders out for sure.
